Private guided tours are available for solo travellers, couples, families and small groups, and can be shaped around your interests, pace and travel plans.Larger groups can also be arranged on request, depending on the group size and what you would like to do.If you are already travelling with others, get in touch early. We can keep things easy with scenic stops, villages and short walks, or include more walking where it makes sense.If you have any concerns about fitness, mobility or particular locations, just let me know when you get in touch. From there, we can plan the route accordingly and make sure the tour feels comfortable and enjoyable for you.

I have done this successfully many times with travellers, and the idea is to keep it simple and practical.Small adjustments can make a big difference: composition, understanding the light, using the zoom properly, choosing the right angle, and getting more out of your phone camera in general.I can show you a few easy things during the tour that you can start using straight away. It stays simple, practical and does not disturb your overall experience. We are not turning the tour into a photography workshop — just picking up a few useful tips that you will quickly start noticing in your own photos.If you are already exploring the Faroe Islands with a guide who is also a professional photographer, it is a good opportunity to pick up a few useful tips that can elevate your travel photography and help you come home with better travel memories.

Bring waterproof outer layers, warm layers underneath, good walking or hiking shoes, and clothing that can handle rapidly changing conditions, including rain, wind and mud.As a rough guide, summer temperatures are often around 10–15°C (50–59°F), while winter temperatures are commonly around 3–7°C (37–45°F). Wind and rain can make it feel considerably colder, so layers are important at any time of year.I also highly recommend hiking poles. I use them myself, and they can make a big difference on wet, uneven or slippery ground. I usually carry an extra pair as well, in case you need them during the tour.

The Faroe Islands are known for rapidly changing weather, and that is part of the experience of visiting the islands. Rain, wind and changing conditions are something you should be prepared for, whatever time of year you visit.I monitor the forecasts closely, know the local weather patterns, and use live camera feeds across the islands to follow conditions in real time. If needed, I can adjust the route and timing to make the most of the day.The aim is always to keep the tour safe, enjoyable and flexible, while making the best of whatever conditions the Faroe Islands give us.

You are welcome to bring your own lunch, snacks and drinks, and we can also stop at a shop in the morning if you would like to pick something up for the day.Depending on the route, we can also use cafés or restaurants where they are available. Outside Tórshavn, however, food options are much more limited, so a proper lunch stop is not possible on every route or at every location.If you would prefer to include a café or restaurant during the tour, just let me know in advance and I can take that into account when planning the day.And if we bring lunch with us, I can promise our lunch spot will come with a million-dollar view.

However, I am always happy to point you in the right direction, suggest useful options, and share links or local advice when I can.
